Carol Dores – President

Carol co-founded Positive Discipline of Connecticut and is the President of the organization.  She recently served on the International Positive Discipline Association Board of Directors, as Board member, Secretary, and then Co-Chair.  Carol is a Certified Positive Discipline Trainer.  She has worked with hundreds of parents of all aged children (prenatal to adult), as well as educators and staff of preschools through high school.   Carol has written over 100 blogs for Positive Discipline of Connecticut, and has articles published in Compass, a Positive Discipline digital magazine as well as Sober World Magazine.  She has two adult sons and a husband of over 30 years. Their relationships continue to grow and benefit from Positive Discipline.

Carol helps parents, educators and other adults build stronger relationships with the children in their lives.  She brings openness and real life experiences to share, to help facilitate the learning about ourselves and the children whose lives we impact.  Carol will use research-backed principles and tools that build skills, restore clarity and confidence, and bring peace in to your home, classroom or school.  She loves facilitating Parenting the Positive Discipline Way classes, as well as Positive Discipline in the Classroom and School for individuals, small groups, or whole schools.  Carol also facilitates “Positive Discipline in the Classroom” and “Teaching Parenting the Positive Discipline Way” certification workshops.
